The Perfect Diet Book

Stop!

It is time to stop using the car as much as you do and it is time to get outdoors and walk. Stop thinking that exercise is difficult and remember that fitness is essential. With increased energy levels, things you do around the house and the office will become less effort and more invigorating.

* Stop driving to the corner shop.
* Stop staying in all day on the weekend and watching television.
* Stop putting off going to the gym.
* Stop deciding to get fit tomorrow.
* Stop trying to avoid long walks.
* Stop eating too much.
* Stop ignoring the opportunity to get fit and healthy, become full of energy and be raring to go.

Exercise costs nothing.

* It can be done at any time of the day or night
* It can be done whilst you are doing everyday chores
* It has many, many benefits.

Now that you have enough reasons, you should do at least 30 minutes every day. Not only will this help to keep you fit and toned but it will also ensure that your metabolic rate does not decrease or your circulation become sluggish.

Little and often is also much better then spending two hours on vigorous exercise every two weeks. This is likely to tire you out more quickly. You will not build up any benefit from your exercise, as it happens too infrequently, and this will be discouraging and you will probably give up.

Try and exercise for 30 minutes every other day.

There are good reasons for this.

It won’t interfere with your routine too much.
It will be over before you get bored
You will notice the benefits after just a few days.
You are also much more likely to get inspired to start doing 30 minutes every other day until you build up to a level of exercise that naturally suits you and your lifestyle.
